Jiraiya is one of the great sannin from the hidden leaf village trained by Hiruzen Sarutobi, the one who later became the third Hokage. Jiraiya then mentors minato Namikaze, who later became the godfather and a mentor to Minato’s son, Naruto Uzumaki. He is one of the heroes in the third great ninja war.
